Bhopal: Archbishop Dr Leo Cornelio offers prayers on All Souls Day

Bhopal, 03 Nov 2014: Dr Leo Cornelio, the Archbishop of Bhopal, offered prayers in remembrance of the ’Souls of the departed’ at Bhadbhada cemetery and Bairagarh cemetery here on Sunday November 2.
Nearly five-thousand faithful comprised friends and families of the departed Catholic souls and members of the Archdiocese of Bhopal were present.
Archbishop Dr Leo said, ‘We have assembled in a solemn gathering in remembrance of those Catholic souls who have left us. We wish their souls have peace in heaven.’
Archbishop Dr Leo further said, ‘We have always stood by our departed brothers and sisters and will continue to pray for the peace of their souls. We are thankful to have such heart-warming response from the people of the diocese.’
The Archbishop is revered among Christians and especially among Catholics as the head of the local church. The archdiocese also organizes social welfare events like medical camps for the benefit of the local people. The Archdiocese of Bhopal organizes prayer meetings and services at regular intervals.

Sir, I appreciate the publication of the important news of November 2nd as the feast day of the Catholic Christians who remember their departed souls on the day and the whole month of Nov. The message given by Arcbp. Dr.Leo Cornelio was very much encouraging and made us comfortable with our departed brothern.
