Udupi, Oct 28, 2014: The organizers of Mercy Trophy cricket tournament of Moodubelle, near will be hosting the Mercy Trophy – 2015 at St Lawrence Pre-University College grounds, Moodubelle, here on Sunday December 28 2014, from 8.30am to 6.00pm, stated the media release issued by the organizers.
It’s the fourth successive year, the organizers are organizers are hosting ‘Limited over’s tennis ball cricket fournament’ for a noble cause. The aim of the tournament, according to the organizers, is not only to encourage the rural youth to showcase their talent in sports, especially cricket, but also like previous years, to help underprivileged students and families who are in dire need of financial help.
The tournament is open to the Udupi taluk level teams and entry will be limited to 12 teams on the basis of first come first serve. The last date for registration is on December 15, 2014.
The winners will receive a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and the Champions Trophy. The runners up will receive a cash prize of Rs 3,000 and the Trophy.

The Mercy Trophy team comprises young and old cricket-lovers which initially started out with a few friends for a noble cause of helping needy in and around Moodubelle. As the years passed-by this organizing team has grown to have more than 60 supporters and well-wishers residing across the globe.
