Bantwal, 26 Oct 2014: The cow worship becomes meaningful when everyone takes vows to protect cows that are revered since ancient times, which would sustain the cattle, said VHP Bantwal taluk Committee president Ashok Shetty Sarapady.
Ashok was speaking after offering motion for cow worship that was jointly organized by VHP and Bajrangdal – Bantwal taluk Committee at Ramalkatte, near here on Saturday October 25.
The cow is like the god. The household family that worships cow would prosper without doubt, said Ashok. He also said that the religiousness has to be awakened to protect the cows form cattle-lifters and illegal transporters, added Ashok.
RSS district Committee member advocate Prasad Kumar in his keynote address said that India is the ancient country that taught the world cultural living.
Bajrangdal Bantwal convener Gururaj, Ghoraksha Pramukh Bharat was present at the dais.
Umesh Renjody delivered the introductory address. VHP chief secretary Vijet Thumbay compered the programme.
The farmer Padmanabha Salian Kallagudde was felicitated for rearing 16 cows at his household cow-pen.
The cows were adorned with Tulsi garlands and worshiped with aarati before the stage programme.
