By Imran Krishnapura – Jubail, KSA
Dammam/Saudi Arabia, Oct 20, 2014: The Air India Express (AIE) flight from Dammam to Mangalore scheduled on Saturday October 18 at 20.30 hours was postponed to Sunday October 19 early morning, due to maintenance.
Meanwhile, when the passengers reported at AIE counter ahead of scheduled time, on Sunday early morning, they were not issued boarding tickets as the flight was not operational.
The agitated passengers demanded alternate flight to reach their destination Mangalore. AIE accommodated the stranded passengers for temporary stay in hotels.
Saudi Arabian authorities sought AIE to arrange for alternate flight at the earliest, in order to avoid further inconvenience to Mangalore-bound passengers.
