Bantwal: Burglars strike house at Melkar; decamp gold jewellery & cash

Bantwal, 12 Oct 2014: The burglars struck a house located at Melkar, near here and decamped with gold jewellery and cash on Sunday October 12 early morning.

 

The burglars struck the house of Aziz, proprietor of P B Earthmovers, located on Mangalore – Bangalore NH 75 at the foothill of Narahari Parvata, near here on Sunday early morning.

 

 

Aziz’s wife was away the night to care for her ailing relative in the hospital, while Aziz who left the home at 5.00am for his daily morning walk, when the burglars struck the house by breaking the latch of front door.  The burglars ransacked the cupboards in the bedroom and decamped with gold jewellery worth 5 sovereign pounds and cash money of Rs 8,000.

 
Bantwal circle inspector Belliappa, town sub-inspector Nandakumar, police personnel visited the spot along with canine squad and fingerprint experts.
