Udupi: Personal hygiene/cleanliness leads to clean nation - Marate

Udupi, Oct 10, 2014: ‘The celebration of Gandhi Jayanti was meaningfully begun for the first time in the history of free India. Gandhi’s dream of Ramarajya comprised clean India, alcohol-free-country, cattle conservation a nation and of course self sufficient homeland. Gandhi laid emphasis on truth, honesty, prayers, communal harmony, national unit and self discipline. PM Narendra Modi has set motion for Swachh Bharat campaign on Gandhi ayanti. The personal hygiene will lead to national cleanliness,’ said B Pundalika Marate.
Marate was the resource person during annual NSS camp held for the students of Hindu Pre-University College, Shirva at Vidhyadayini School, Kutyar, near here on Thursday October 9.
Marate urged the students to keep the household clean and also inspire others to do the same.
The retired principal Rajgopal presided the programme.
The lecturer Sadashiv K, camp officer Sundar M was present at the dais.
Sukanya welcomed the gathering. Nagesh compered the programme. Niriksha Kundar proposed the vote of thanks.
