Mumbai, Oct 09, 2014: Bollywood director and resident of Vile Parle, Sanjay Chhel, expressed his support for Krishna Hegde, the Congress candidate from Vile Parle and joined him in his campaigning along with Vinod Kambli addressing a gathering at Bamanwada Hill Ward 77 Vile Parle (East) here on Wednesday October 8.
Addressing the gathering Sanjay said, ‘I was a resident of Vile Parle & have personally seen the difference in the last five years compared to the last 25 years. Krishna Hegde is good man & the people should re-elect him with huge majority,’ said Sanjay. Krishna Hegde has built two flyovers and connected the East and West similarly he has connected with you and the bond is strong. I appeal from my heart to support Krishna, added Sanjay.
Citing the corruption in Brahanmumbai Mahanagar Palika which is run by BJP and Shiv Sena combine, Krishna Hegde said, ‘The people who are contesting against me are corporators who cannot take care of their own ward, how will they handle the entire constituency? Everyone knows about the state of roads and water supply in the city,’ said Krishna.
Earlier in the evening children of Ashok Nagar in Andheri (East) were pleasantly surprised when Vinod Kambli and Krishna Hegde, joined them for a game of cricket while campaigning in the area.
Hegde smashed 2 boundaries in 3 balls and handed over the bat to Kambli who smashed the first ball out of the ground into the skies. The ball could not be traced.
