Beary Sahitya Academy celebrates Beary Language Day

Mangalore, Oct 03, 2014: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy will be organizing Beary Language Day celebration at the Academy office here on Friday October 3 at 10.00 am.

 

The Academy president B A Mohammed Hanif presided the programme.

 

Sudha, Kannada weekly sub-editor B M Hanif inaugurated the programme in the traditional Beary culture by beating the drum.

 

 

B M Hanif explained the significance of the programme to the gathering.

 

University College principal Satyanarayan Mallipatna said that Beary language has contributed significantly to other regional languages.

 

The multi-lingual litterateurs Mohammed Baddur, Badriya PU College principal Dr N Ismail, Al-Badriya Group of education institutions chairperson B M Mumtaz Ali were the chief guests present on the occasion.

 

Abdul Aziz Baikampady, Ibrahim Tannirbavi, B A Samsuddin Madikeri, Rahim B C Road, Ismail Moodushedde, Hamza Malar and Mohammed Sharif Nirmunje were felicitated for their distinguished contributions to Beary language.

 

The veteran litterateurs and dignitaries were present.

 

The Academy registrar Umarabba welcomed the gathering. The Academy member Hameed Padubidri compered the programme. Abbas proposed vote of thanks.
