Beltangady: Dr Veerendra Heggade gives fillip to Swacch Bharat Campaign at Dharmasthala

Beltangady, Oct 03, 2014: Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade offered motion for Swacch Bharat campaign that was organized on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, at the joint aegis of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) and local gram panchayat at Dharmasthala here on Thursday October 2.

 

Addressing the gathering, Dr Heggade said, ‘Mahatma Gandhi lives on because of his extraordinary contributions to the nation. One, who is philosophical in nature, usually becomes a preacher. One who develops communicative skills; either he would become officer or political leader. Meanwhile, one who really practices his words into deeds, he would truly be a Mahatma, deserves all respect. He is great indeed. Mahatma Gandhi has truly involved in freedom struggle by mingling with common man. He had lived by his words and the countrymen respect him as father of nation,’ said Dr Heggade.

 

 

‘We got to be united to realize Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of Swacch Bharat. We got to commit ourselves disregarding ethnicity, religion, caste and creed in building stronger nation. The health and cleanliness are essential in life. We got to be self sufficient to realize Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of Grama Swarajya. We got to get education, health and other benefits in villages itself, that would be the real tribute to father of nation,’ said Dr Heggade.

 

‘SKLDRDP has began Swacch Bharat campaign in 2,500 different places across Karnataka in order to effectively implement PM Narendra Modi’s mission Swacch Bharat and state government programme. Over 2.5 lac people will take part in this programme,’ said Dr Heggade.

 

Dr Heggade administered cleanliness oath to the gathering.

 

Hemavati V Heggade, Supriya Harshendra Kumar, D Shreyas Kumar, D Nischal Kumar, Shradda Amit, Samhita, Manya, gram panchayat president, ZP and TP members were present on the occasion.

 

The cleanliness Jatha was held in the city limits to create mass awareness on cleanliness and hygiene.
