Bantwal: Change in mindset of people leads to social reform; Swami Gurudevanand

Bantwal, 03 Oct, 2014: The social changes will not be possible unless the individual changes himself. If one has to change, he/she should change her thinking process, said Swami Gurudevanand of Odiyoor mutt.
Swami Gurudevanand was speaking after inaugurating taluk level convention of Navajeevana Samiti at SDM auditorium, here on Thursday October 2. It was organized in association with Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, Jan Jagruti Vedike and Pragatibandu self-help-groups Federation.
The changes in thinking will lead to mass awareness, said Swami Gurudevanand. He further said different statements are being issued almost daily related to Netravati River diversion. The need of the hour is to announce firm decision. The scientific thinking should be created, while the people should be alert to save the environment from catastrophe, said Swami Gurudevanand.
Jan Jagruti Vedike Bantwal taluk Committee president Kiran Hegde presided the programme.
Rani Abbakka Tulu Study Centre chairman Professor Tukaram Poojary was the resource person.
The entrepreneur R B Hebballi, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project human resources development director Mamata Harish Rao was the chief guest of the occasion.
