Mangalore: Christians stage candle-lit march condemning IS brutalities on brethrens in Iraq

Mangalore, 09 Sep 2014: At the backdrop Pope’s appeal to pray for Christian brethrens in Iraq and Syria from the persecutions of brutal forces of IS, the parishioners of different parishioners led by United Christian Association held a candle-lit march from Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte to St Bridget’s Convent, Nantoor, here on Tuesday September 9.
A brief prayer service was led by Infatn Jesus shrine superior Carmelite Fr Elias D’Souza seeking divine graces on IS forces to soften their stance in saving Christian women and children from further persecution and barbarous killings.
When the march reached St Bridget’s Convent, a half-an-hour prayer service was held to save the mankind from brutalities of IS.
