Karkal: MLA Sunil Kumar urges teachers to impart moral education

Karkal, 05 Sep 2014: The teachers have created history in India by shaping hundreds of leaders by positively responding to their small incidences during their student life.  The kingdoms thrived in India by mentoring of teachers.  The teachers of present time of jet set age, ought not to limit their roles for mere securing good results, instead strive towards inculcating moral values among the students, urged Karkal MLA V Sunil Kumar.

 

MLA Sunil was speaking during taluk level Teachers’ Day celebrations held at Manjunat Pai hall, here on Friday September 5.

 

 

‘It’s tragic that the teachers are teaching under the surveillance of CCTV.  The creativity does not grow with facebook and Whatsup.  The teachers role would be greater indeed in creating stronger and developed nation by 2022,’ said MLA Sunil.

 

Karkal TP president Vijayakumari inaugurated the programme here on Friday.

 

ZP member Supreet Shetty, TP member Rashmi Shetty, vice president Malini Shetty, Ravindra Kumar, Vikram Hegde, Antony D’Souza, Joachim Michael D’Souza, TP CEO Chinnappa Moily, primary teachers Association president Ravindra Shetty, V K Rao Nandalike, physical teachers Association president Ramanand Shetty and others were present on the occasion.

 

 

The block education officer Manmohan H K welcomed the gathering.  Satischandra Babu, Krishna Kumar N E, Vasant M, Babu Poojary introduced the dignitaries.

 

The retired 35 teachers of different schools across taluk and achievers were felicitated on the same occasion.

 

Yogish Kini rendered the prayers.  The taluk co-ordinating officer Jayanti Shetty proposed vote of thanks.  Yennehole Sadanand Nayak, teacher Shakuntala compered the programme.
