Karkal: Teacher’s Day celebrations at Belman School

Karkal, Sep 05, 2014: The hard times of past are over. Today, the children get every facility. Many avenues are opened to achieve. The teachers’ responsibilities have increased. It’s the noble deed for the teachers to be torchbearers and contribute for all round development of students, said Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, parish priest of St Joseph’s parish, Belman, near here.
Fr Lawrence was speaking during Teachers’ Day celebration held at St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here on Thursday September 4. He urged the students to respect their teachers because that has been a tradition.
Belman assistant parish priest Fr J B Moras conveyed best wishes to the programme.
Neha Nayak in her introductory address offered information on the achievement of Dr S Radhakrishnan.
The senior teacher B Pundalika Marate explained the relation of teachers and students.
The school head teacher Sr Monica, Bro Arun D’Souza, local convent superior Sr Usha Stella, senior teacher Juliana Moras, Vincent Pinto, Lilly D’Souza, Lavina Pinto, Harshendra kumar Jain, Jacinta Vaz and Divya were present on the dais.
The variety competitions were held for both teachers and students and prizes were distributed to the winners.
Sahana U welcomed the gathering. The school pupil leader Janishya Noronha proposed vote of thanks. Vishal Kumar compered the programme.
