Bantwal: Sharadadevi, Head teacher of Pilimogaru School bags District Top Teacher Award

Bantwal, 04 Sep 2014: Sharadadevi, head teacher of DK ZP Higher Primary School, Pilimogaru, near here qualified to confer Dakshina Kannada district Top Teacher Award of public instruction department.

 

The Award will be conferred during district level Teachers’ Day celebrations at Beltangady on Friday September 5.

 

 

Sharadevi is hailing from Ramakunja and now resides at B C Road, here.  She has put in 36 years of experience in teaching.  She began working as teacher in Kutrupady, Kadaba in 1978, nine years in Puttur, 14 years in Brahmarakootlu since 1990, head teacher in Pilimogaru School since 2004.

 

Sharadadevi has played key role in landscape development at Pilimogaru School since the past 10 years, effectively implemented government programmes.  She has planted 650 cashew plants, palm and other 250 plants of different fruits and vegetables at the campus.  The borewell drinking water facility, constructing boundary wall, distributing free notebooks to students, school band, adopting students studies, training in Yakshagana,  Bharatanatyam, cultural programmes.

 

She had bagged talented teacher award in 2007, state level top science organizer award in 2000 from Children’s Science Journal.  She is also a top sports woman bagged prizes in teachers competitions.
