Bantwal: Polytechnic Students boycott classes alleging harassment by teachers

Bantwal, 28 Aug 2014: The students of Government Polytechnic, led by ABVP boycotted classes alleging harassment by vice principal and teacher, here on Wednesday August 27.
The students and their parents demanded the state authorities to suspend or transfer vice principal Dr Chinnagiri Gowda and teacher Tejaswini, who were harassing the students for no valid reasons.
There has been a cold war between the teachers since the past few days that has threatened the future of students.
The protesters alleged that Dr Gowda and science teacher Tejaswini were harassing the students without taking classes due to the cold war among the teachers.
Despite the students brought this issue to the notice of principal the situation has not improved.
The students became angry when the teacher labeled a student as goon because he partaken in a protest staged by some organization. The teachers resorted to throwing the bags of students; make the students to sit on the floor for no valid reason, by tearing off the book if in case the teachers found some mistakes in notes.
The students fed up with the harassment of vice principal and teacher staged unannounced protest seeking justice.
