Mumbai: Tulu Okkoota convenes Preliminary meet on Vishwa Tulu Parbha - 2014

Mumbai, Aug 25, 2014: Tulu is a regional language that will have a global touch by organizing Vishwa Tulu Parba at the leadership of Dharmapal Devadiga. Akhila Bharata Tulu Okkoota that has been striving since two-and-half decade has wider plan to include all Tulu natives across the globe for grand celebration of Vishwa Tulu Parba, said Tulu Koota Mumbai® president Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty.
Jayakrishna was speaking during the preliminary meeting on orgnizing Vishwa Tulu Parba – 2014, convened jointly by Akhila bharata Tulu Okkoota® and Tulu Koota Mumbai® at Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (East) here on Sunday August 24.
Akhila bharata Tulu Okkoota® president Dharmapal U Devadiga presided the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmapal said that Vishwa Tulu Parba will be held at Pilikula Nisargadhama, Mangalore from November 28 to November 30, in association with Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, at the chairmanship of Karnataka state forests and Dakshina Kannada district-in-charge minister Ramanat Rai and at the direction of Dr D Veerendra Heggade.
Virar Shankar Shetty, Vishwanat U Mada, Balakrishna P Bhandary, was present at the occasion. Mangalore mayor Mahabala Marla was the specially invited guest present.
Moodushedde Vishwanat Shetty, Chandrashekar Belchada, Harish Kumar M Shetty, Karnoor Mohan Rai, Harish Padubidri, advocate B Moideen Mundkoor, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, advocate Shekar Bhandary, Usha P Hegde, Jagdish Shetty Iroli, Balakrishna P Bhandary and others offered suggestions for the success of Tulu Parba – 2014.
Nityanand D Kotian, the newly-promoted general manager of Bharat Bank was felicitated on the same occasion.
Ranjani R Moily rendered the prayers. Tulu Okkoota Mumbai® convener G T Acharya compered the programme. Mundkoor Surendra Salian proposed vote of thanks.
