M’lore: Vijaya Karnataka, Kannada daily sub-editor Steven Rego bags Siri Cinema Award

Mangalore, 16 Aug 2014: Steven Rego Darandakukku, sub-editor and reporter of Vijaya Karnataka, Kannada daily was selected by Siri Creation, Mangalore and Chitra Sangama, Bangalore, to confirm Siri Cinema Award – 2014.

 

 
The special reports by Steven on coastal cinema that were published in print media was chosen to confer Siri Cinema Award – 2014.  The award will be conferred in Bangalore, stated the communiqué issued by award Committee.

 
Steven had bagged Kinnigoli - K J Shetty Kadandale Award for his rural reporting, Padyana Gopalakrishna (Pa Go) Award by Dakshina Kannada working journalists Association and Mega Media Award.

 
Steven is a native of Darandakukku in Puttur taluk.  He is the son of Ignatius and Hilda Rego couple.
