Mangalore: I - Day celebrated by NSUI, Merchants Association at Kankanady

Mangalore, Aug 15, 2014: National Students Union of India (NSUI) Dakshina Kannada district, held sixty-eighth Independence Day celebration at Balikashram, Kankanady, here on Friday August 15 morning.

 

Congress Seva Dal Dakshina Kannada district chief organizer H M Ashraf led the programme.

 

 

The former deputy mayor Judith Mascarenhas was the chief guest hoisted the national flag.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Judith said that the youth have greater responsibility in nation building.

 

The local corporator Asha D’Silva, NSUI district president Ashith G Pereira, general secretary Milhaz Attavar, secretary Irshad N G, Ankith Kumar, Daryl D’Souza, Rizwan, Eshan, Pratap Alva, Denver Anchan, Glen, Welvin, students and staff of Balikashram were present at the occasion.
