Udupi : National Seminar on "Astrophysics & Quantum Mechanics" inaugurated at Kallianpur

Udupi, Aug, 02, 2014 : The inauguration of UGC sponsored Milagres College Department of Physics in association with Association of Physics Teachers, Mangalore University organized two days National level Seminar on “Astrophysics & Quantum Mechanics” NSAQ – 2014 at Milagres College Sukver Jubilee Hall near here on Friday, 1st August, 2014.

 

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo inaugurated two days seminar along with guests on the dais by lighting the lamp. Dr Nery Cornelio Principal of Milagres College presided the occasion. Prof. P. R. Vishwanath Former Professor at TIFR and IIA, Dr. A. R. Usha Devi Associate Professor of Physics, Bangalore University, Dr. Sudha Assistant Professor of Physics, Kuvempu University, Dr. A. P. Bhat, President of Association of Physics Teachers, Mangalore University, Dr. Gerald Pinto Convener of the Seminar and Dean of Science Faculty Milagres College and Prof. Archana Dabade Co-convener of Seminar were present on the dais.

 

 

During in his keynote address, Prof. P. R. Vishwanath said that these types of seminar and workshops are needed to students as well as teachers and education department should see on it and lot of initiatives to get more enthusiasm about the Science in general.

 

Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo gave his inaugural address and blessed the occasion.  Dr. Nery Cornelio during in his presidential thanked the organizers and the delegates.

 

Earlier the program started with invocation prayer held by Royton & group. Dr. Gerald Pinto Convener of the seminar welcomed the gatherings. Prof. Archana Dabade Co-convener of NSAQ proposed vote of thanks. Sr. Jacintha Crasta compered the program.

 

Prof. Kusuma Kamath Principal of MGM College, Mangalore university teachers as well as students and other universities delegates were present during the inaugural program.
