Hi Victor castelino, how you mange to get the picture of this lovely national bird peacock [Navelu]anyway Thanks. This magnificent multihued bird has been given the status of the National Bird of India. It is symbolic of qualities like beauty, grace, pride and mysticism. whenever the cock spread its tails in an ornamental fashion it indicates that the rain is imminent, In way it is partly true. Its food include grains, insects, reptiles, small mammals, berries drupes wild figs and some cultivated crops. The Hindus consider the bird to be sacred because the god Kartikeya [son of the Lord Shiva and Parvathi and brother to god Ganesh]rides on its back Legends hold that the peafowl can charm snake and oddly their eggs,Peacocks commonly called peafowl, one of the most recognizable bird in the world. and it widely found on Indian subcontinent
