M’lore: Subodh Yadav takes charge as new DC

Mangalore, 23 October 2010: Subodh Yadav took charge as the 121st deputy commissioner for Dakshina Kannada district on Saturday.

 

 

A 1999-batch IAS officer and a native of Utter Pradesh, Yadav was serving as personal secretary to Union Minister M Veerappa Moily before taking charge as the DK DC. Yadav, who took charge as a probationary officer in Belgaum, later was appointed as the Assistant Commissioner in Sakleshpur. He had served as the Chief Executive Officer of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat from August 29, 2004 to May 31, 2005.

 

Speaking after assuming the charge, Yadav told media persons that he would serve honestly for the overall development of the district.

 

“All development initiatives taken by the former Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj will be continued. Co-ordinated efforts will be made to develop the district. However, it is difficult to speak on development vision before studying all files,” he added.
