Bangalore, 11 October 2010: Railing against the opposition JDS and Congress for attempts to destabilize his government, Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Monday said that a comprehensive inquiry would be conducted to expose the "money power" used to lure MLAs.

Alleging that Rs 20 crore to Rs 25 crore was paid to dissident MLAs, Yeddyurppa said he would order a comprehensive inquiry to expose this. "I will not spare them easily. I know from which source the money has come and how much money was distributed by each", he charged.

The chief minister was addressing a press conference after he won the trust vote by voice vote.

Despite winning the confidence motion, many ministers seem anxious about the fate of the government and what action the Governor H R Bhardwaj may recommend.

The chief minister also saw a conspiracy by what he called "affluent class" to topple the government and said this would also be "exposed". Yeddyurappa, however, did not elaborate.

Yeddyurappa accused the opposition of resorting to unruly behaviour to destabilise his government after realising that they don’t have majority and that they can’t come to power.

He charged the Congress and the JDS with trying to "uproot democracy" by seeking to topple a democratically elected government and termed their behaviour in the House as "shameful".

Mr BSY by operation Kamala had earned abad title and now why says" 20-25 crores given to decending MLAs?. He is the main villain of all the events that took place and also for the sad chapter in the history of Karnataka. Never in the history of the state such foul dram had taken place. not even during Bommayi s regeme. Very bad Mr Yediyurappa. You better retire from politics and regain your lost fame. Money is not every thing. sorry to suggest so. Love of the state compelled me to say so.
