Moodubelle: PTA Meeting and NSS Orientation Programme held in St. Lawrence PU College

Parents-Teachers Association Meeting:

The Parents Teachers Association Meeting of St. Lawrence Composite PU College was held on Tuesday, 20 September 2016. Kudi Vasanta Shetty, old student of the institution and National Best Teacher Awardee was the resource person for the meeting.

 

 

Speaking at this meeting Kudi vasanta Shetty said that the parents should have loving relationship with their children and should keep a watch on their activities. They should provide an environment that should be conducive for learning. The parents should show a way to their children by reducing their viewing of TV and use of mobile.

 

Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, Correspondent of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions presided over the programme and distributed prizes to the meritorious students.  Valerian Crasta, Joint Secretary of PTA read the report and presented the accounts of last year.

 

Alphonse Alva, President of PTA welcomed the gathering, Principal Navin Correa proposed the vote of thanks, Senior Teacher Mrs. Leena D’Silva introduced the resource person and Ms. Shruthi R. compered the  programme.

 

Orientation Programme for NSS Students

 

An orientation programme for the NSS students was organized on 17 September 2016. Nagaraj, lecturer from Government Girls PU College, Udupi was the resource person.

 

 

In his address, Nagraj said that NSS students can develop a sense of discipline, time management, cooperation and other finer qualities by taking active part in all the activities of the NSS.

 

Principal Nvin Correa presided over the orientation programme. NSS Programme officer, Dileep Shetty made introductory remarks. Ashwini welcomed the gathering, Unit Leader Sunil proposed the vote of thanks and  Anuradha compered the programme.
