Street Vendors urge civic authority to make alternative arrangement for vending

Mangaluru, 18 Jun 2016: The delegation of Dakshina Kannada district street vendors Association met mayor here on Friday June 17, to urge the civic administration to issue identity cards that was delayed to street vendors operating in the limits of municipality, to make alternative arrangement by relocating the street vendors.

 

 

The delegation alleged that Town Vending Committee (TVC) has convened a meeting to discuss the issue of street vendors since over 9 months.  The municipal officials are harassing the street vendors in many areas carrying away their items. 

 

Dakshina Kannada district street vendors Association honorary president Sunil Kumar Bajal, president Mohammed Mustafa, general secretary Santosh R S, office bearers Adam Bajal, Hasainar, Annayya, Hitesh Poojary, Krishnappa, Muzafar, Noushad, Shabuddin, Helen and others were present.
