Mining officials seize 25-truckloads of sand hoarded

Bantwal, 17 Jun 2016: The geology and mining department officials seized 25 truckload of sand that was stored in a private land, besides railway track near Farangipet, in the limits of Pudu gram panchayat, here on Thursday June 16.

 

 

The sand mining is banned by district administration with effect from Thursday June 16 at 12.01am. Meanwhile, a few hoarders stored the sand in open spaces in private lands to supply at exorbitant rates. 

 

The mining officer Girish Mohan seized 25-truckload of sand and also a truck that was parked at the spot to public works department.

 

The public works department engineers Umesh Bhat and Arun, and others were present.
