GSB Helpline Charitable Trust donates Rs 45,000 to 73-yr-old cancer victim at Belman

Karkala, 12 Jun 2016: ‘Those who were empowered by the community to prosper in life, should never forget their past and help others who are struggling thereby set off their debt of community, said R Devaraya Prabhu, president of Hosa Sanje Balaga, Karkala.

 

 

Prabhu was speaking after handing over a cheque of Rs 45,000 that was donated by Mangaluru-based Group GSB Helpline Charitable Trust to 73-year-old Padmavati Kamat, who is a cancer victim, residing at Jantra, near Belman, here on Saturday June 11.

 

‘The social welfare organizations ought to verify the need of beneficiaries. They should not expect anything in return for helping the poor,’ said Prabhu.

 

The Trust president Pramod G Kamat, secretary Hemant Bhat, joint secretary Nitesh Bhat, social activist Akshata Shenoy and others were present.
