Bantwal: Monsoon rains cause flash floods besides NH 75 at Panemangaluru

Bantwal, 10 Jun 2016: The flash floods are created besides Mangaluru – Bengaluru NH 75 at Panemangaluru, at the onset of monsoon, owing to no storm water drains besides the highway. The local residents face the brunt of shoddy works.

The highway widening works are underway at Melkar, Narahari Nagar, B C Road Circle, in front of Satyadevata temple, Panemangaluru, here since a few days. The storm water began accumulating besides the road after the first rains causing inconvenience to motor cyclists and pedestrians including local residents.

 

The locals urge the highway department or civic council to lay proper drains for the storm water to avoid inconvenience to road users.
