DYFI – Bajal unit helps distressed family of Vaman Nayak who lost both legs in tragedy

Mangaluru, 09 Jun 2016: DYFI – Bajal unit handed over a cheque of Rs 30,000 on Wednesday June 8, to Vaman Nayak, who was a mechanic working in a service station at Kuntikana, here, had lost both legs in a tragic accident, while crossing the road at nearby by his work place, 3 years ago.

 

 

Vaman is living with wife and children since many years at J M Road locality, Bajal ward, here. He was the bread winner in the family now rendered helpless. In order to sustain their family, Vaman couple is engaged in bidi rolling to earn their living. The bidi industry threatened to shut down owing to union government proposed Act without any alternative. None of peoples’ representatives were bothered on the plight of Vaman family.

 

DYFI district general secretary Santosh Bajal presented the cheque to Vaman at his home.

 

The local leaders Kamalksha Shetty, Suresh Bajal, Nagesh Shetty, Praveen Vismaya and Ashok Bajal were present.
