Youth assaulted after he allegedly harassed girl

 

Mulki, 10 Apr 2016: In an incident reported, a youth suffered injuries after he was assaulted by a gang at his house in Mulki on Friday.

 

It is said that the gang entered a house belonging to Mohammad Mazambil (18) at KSR Nagar, Mulki and assaulted him. They then abducted him and took him to another place and assaulted him again. He was severely injured and the locals rushed him to Mulki Government Hospital; he was later taken to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

 

In the meantime, a girl filed a complaint stating that Mazambil used to harass her over phone.

 

It is said that Mazambil was involved in harassing the same girl a few months ago and a case was registered against him. But the case was closed after he furnished a surety bond. Now he has again begun harassing the girl and has allegedly threatened of throwing acid on her face.

 

However, another complaint was registered where Mazambil said that he worked in a sand factory at Kolnad. However, the girl’s parents assaulted him after finding out their love affair.
