IAF officer from Kanhangad dies after falling off stairs at M’luru Central Rly Station

Mangaluru, 26 March 2016: In a tragic incident reported, a young Indian Air Force officer was killed after he fell off a flight of stairs at Mangaluru Central Railway Station on Friday morning.

 

The deceased was identified as Manoj KK (33), resident of Kanhangad; he was posted at Nashik and was returning home when the incident took place. He booked a ticket at about 7.25 am and his train was scheduled to depart from the second platform. Manoj, carrying his luggage, was climbing the over bridge, when he slipped and fell down. Though he was rushed to a hospital, he was declared brought dead.

 

Police sources have stated that Manoj might have died due to a heart attack as he fell off the stairs.

 

He is survived by his wife and a two-year-old son. The relatives took the body to Kanhangad for the final rites.

 

Mangaluru railway police registered a case.
