Udupi: Shirva Mahila Mandala celebrates Women’s Day

Udupi, 18 March 2016: Shirva Mahila Mandala organized the Women’s Day celebrations at their office here recently.

 

It was presided by Udupi taluk Mahila Mandala Okkoota deputy chairperson Sushma Shetty.

 

 

Hindu PU College Kannada lecturer Laxmidevi was the resource person spoke on women and society. She also shed light on women issues and how to resolve them.

 

Udupi taluk Mahila Mandala Okkoota president and ZP newly-elected member Sheela K Shetty, senior athlete Geeta Kumari and Karate artiste Sasikala Poojary were felicitated on the same occasion.

 

K Sundar Prabhu, Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, lecturer Anant Moodittaya and Prabhakar were present.

 

Shirva Mahila Mandala president Babita Aras welcomed the gathering. Jayasri Jayapal Shetty compered the programme. Veena Chandrashekar Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
