Relative, friends rape woman, younger sister

Belagavi, 14 March 2016: In a shocking incident, a woman was raped by a relative while three of his friends raped the woman’s sister on Saturday at Yaragatti.

 

It is said that the woman, a resident of K Shivapura village, had come to her native place at Yaragatti. She went to a medical store with her younger sister in the morning to buy medicines for her child who was ill. Padeppa Fakirappa Bannur (19), a relative offered to drop them home and the sisters agreed. But, Padeepa took the sisters to a farmhouse in Bannur and sexually assaulted the woman. Four of his friends, Bheerappa Ningappa Kitadal (21), Mallappa Arjun Junjuri (23), Bheerappa Rudrappa Adakalagundi (20) and Maruti Arjun Bhavihal (20) came to know of this and arrived at the farmhouse.

 

One of the four friends encouraged the other three to rape the younger sister and they agreed. Soon after the incident, the sisters returned home and informed the family regarding the incident.

 

A complaint was filed and medical tests were conducted. Police are on the lookout for the accused who are absconding.
