Tragedy at Bejai as child dies after falling into well

 

Mangaluru, 25 Jan 2016: In a tragic incident reported from the city, a two-year-old child lost her life after she fell into a well at Bejai on Sunday evening.

 

The deceased is Ashwini, daughter of Nagaraj and Laxmi, coolie workers from Vijaypura.

 

It is said that Ashwini and another child were playing near the well that was adjacent to a tree. Out of curiosity, Ashwini climbed on the platform of the well and peeped in; she then lost balance and fell into the well. The fire personnel rushed to the spot and retrieved her body.

 

A case has been registered.
