Karkala: Belman shopkeepers draw shutters to pay tributes to accident victims

Karkala, 10 Dec 2015: The shopkeepers of Belman, near here voluntarily have drawn their shutters on Wednesday December 9, to mourn the death of vegetable shopkeeper Shekar Kotian and his 11-year-old son Nitin, who passed away in a tragic road mishap in Belman, near here on Wednesday December 8. Nitin was studying in Class VI at Laxmi Janardhan School, Belman, near here. The recently developed Karkala – Padubidri NH is so smooth gives thrill of speed for motorists and has been causing death owing to traffic mishaps.

 

 

The residents of entire Belman locality arrived when the mortal remains of father and son arrived and paid tributes to the departed souls. The headmaster, teachers and students of Laxmi Janardhan School also present. The school authorities announced holiday on Wednesday.

 

At the backdrop of several deaths caused by road mishaps are occurring in Belman, near here, the locals demanded the highway authority to lay the humps to restrict over-speeding motorists.
