Bantwal: Patrol police seize mini-truck illegally transporting cattle at Punjalkatte

Bantwal, 18 Nov 2015: The patrol police seized a mini truck illegally transporting cattle and arrested 3 persons in this regard at Punjalkatte, near here on Tuesday November 17 early morning.

 

The arrested has been identified as Kumar, Paramesh and P Krishna, all natives of Tarikere taluk of Chikmagalur district, Karnataka.  The police rescued 5 colts, one cow and one buffalo that were inhumanely found in the truck.

 

 

The accused confessed that they were transporting the livestock to abattoirs in Kerala, said police sources.

 

The sub-inspector Latesh Kumar, assistant sub-inspector Giriappa, police personnel Venkappa, Devappa M K, Mahesh, Mohan Naik and Ibrahim partaken in this operation.

 

The accused were presented before the court at Bantwal.
