Udupi/M’Belle: Group of Young Villagers show the way in community service

Udupi/M’Belle, 20 Oct 2015: As per the saying, “It is better to light a candle rather than blame the darkness”, a group of young villagers from Devaragudde area of Moodubelle took upon themselves the task of clearing the wild-growth by both sides of Moodubelle-Padubelle road that has been obstructing the clear view of the road not only for the motorists and two wheel drivers but also the pedestrians.

 

 

The village youth gathered in the morning of Sunday, 18 October 2015 and began cutting down and clearing the road side. This was a good example of community service by the villagers. It would have had better result if more villagers had joined the venture. However, the youth have shown the way that if they are aware of certain problems affecting the village community, with joint efforts such problems can be solved without waiting for the government agencies such as village panchayat to do everything for the village community.
