Bantwal: Forty-year-old depressed son of farmer commits suicide, body donated to hospital

Bantwal, 22 Jul 2015: A forty-year-old depressed son of a farmer committed suicide by consuming disinfectant here on Monday July 20.

 

 

Mahesh, son of Venkappayya Bhat, residing at Arkeccharu in Idkidu village, who was employed overseas returned without job offers recently. His world crumbled as his wife divorced him and he slipped into deep depression.

 

Mahesh consumed the disinfectant that was placed in the store room for spraying on areca plantation on Monday 20 night. He was rushed to hospital at once on Tuesday July 21 evening.   

 

Mahesh during his conversation with the family once had expressed his wish to donate his organs. However, as he had consumed the disinfectant it has not been possible. Therefore, the parents donated the body to K S Hegde Hospital, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.
