Udupi: Congress bastion crumbles at Shriva GP; BJP backed Varija Poojarty elected Prez

Udupi, 30 June 2015: BJP backed candidates Varija Poojarty and Devdas Nayak were elected as president and vice president of Shirva gram panchayat (GP) that was the Congress bastion in the past.

 

 

The senior horticulture officer Sadashiv Rao was the nodal officer held the election proceedings.

 

Kaup former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, BJP district general secretary Kutyar Naveen Shetty, BJP senior leaders Gurme Suresh Shetty, Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde and Kollabettu Ravindra Shetty, entrepreneur Dinesh Shetty, Giridar Prabhu and others congratulated the newly-elected people’s representatives.
