Poojari continues the verbal battle with Speaker Kagodu

Print Mangaluru, 07 Jan 2015: The former union minister Janardhan Poojary continuing the verbal battle along with speaker of Karnataka Legislative Assembly has slammed the speaker saying that the speaker has lost his mental balance and should concentrate on his duty as a speaker.
Poojari addressing media persons in the district congress office today said that the speaker is trying to destabilize the existence of the government by questioning the existence of the statye government.
“Let the opposition do their job. It is your duty as a speaker to run the assembly smoothly. By all these comments you have made us to call you as the leader of the opposition. When a women like Loksabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan is running the house smoothly why cant you do so as a man. “
“The post you hold is a constitutionally recognized post. Many eminent personalities in the past have brought dignity to the post. Make sure you uphold the dignity of the post”, Poojari backfired pointing at the rules of procedure of the member of the legislative assembly.
“You question Who I am and later say that I am a Lawyer. Is your mental stability alright? May be you are undergoing memory loss due to aging. In 1990 it was Poojari who gave you the ticket to contest in the elections. And may be you have forgotten this as well.”
“You came from the communist party and I am not like you to change the parties for power. You require another life to know what Poojari is.”
“While you were the Family welfare minister of the state, how many districts and hospitals you have visited.? When the young Khader is working day and night for the welfare of the department why are you obstructing his duties. You have to comment keeping the legalities in mind. You are questioning the decision of Supreme court while raising few objections about Forest department. Who are you to do so”
“You are snatching the rights of the opposition. They should take the government for a toss. If the speaker does not have the discipline then how can he maintain the decorum of the house. Let him not change the rules of the constitution.”
Addressing the opposition BJP he said ” the speaker is snatching your powers are proving you as in-efficient. You must raise voice against this.”
Congress leaders Harikrishna Bantwal, Vijay Kumar Shetty, Kallige Thaaranatha Shetty, Arun Coelho were among the present at the occasion.

| It is my considered opinion that Mr janardhana Poojary has to stop this kind of attacking the Speaker, the Party Person in Assembly. The speakers right of advising is admitted by the Senior Party members and it is also not correct to complain to the party President about Mr Kagodu the Speaker. The attitude and behaviour of the MLAs and the ruling party Government is not satisfactory. The Ppeople are th sufferers. Corruption has been rampant and there is no discipline among the Government staff and services are very poor and Mr Kagodu Thimmappa is right in voicing his unhappyness. It must be taken in good spirits by the party and the Officials. Unless the Government maintains good services and discipline they cannot expect to continue in Office. Mr Siddaramaih and Dr Parameswarappa have to read the writings on the wall. Mr Kagodu may soften his voice because it is within the party. | |
