Puttur: Guest lecture on Acts of Governing Organizations at St Philomena College

Puttur, Nov 28, 2014: A guest lecture on ‘Acts Governing Organisations’ was delivered by Fr Francis Assisi, LLB, LLM, parish priest of Sacred Heart parish, Maril, here on November 24h and November 25 for II MSW students of St Philomena College.

 

Fr Francis Assisi started-off the lecture with the introduction to various Acts such as Societies Registration Act, Co-operative Societies Act, Charitable Trusts Act and Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) and the session was continued emphasizing the importance and various procedures to register different societies, associations and trusts.

 

 

The guest lecture concluded with a detailed question and answer session ensuring that students gained the basics on various acts.

 

St Philomena College, PG department of social work organised this guest lecturer and co-ordinator of the department Prasanna Kumar was present on the occasion.

 

Krishna, Assistant Professor of the department welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.
