Maundy Thursday Celebrated in Pangla-Sha​nkerpura Parish

Udupi, 18 Apr 2014: St John the evangelist church pangla, shankerpura, celebrated the Maundy Thursday with great preparation and meaning. The holy mass were celebrated at 6.30 p.m in the church premises . A large number of people participated in the Eucharistic celebration.

 

 

The Eucharistic Mass was offered by Rev. fr. Vincent Coelho along with parish priest Rev. Fr. Leslie C. D’Souza and Rev. fr. Lawrence Mendonca. In his preach Fr. Vincent Coelho,highlighted the sacrifice of Jesus Christ for our redemption. He also gave a call to relive the Eucharistic mystery, to pray for priests and for vocations in the church. At the end of the  solemn Holy  Mass, the Holy Eucharist was  transferred to the ‘Altar of Repose’ inside the church.
