Udupi: Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake distributes state facilities to Beneficiaries at Belle GP

Udupi,19 Nov 2013: The state government is committed to help the poor section of the society for improving their living standard, said the state urban and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.

 
The minister Sorake was speaking after distributing state facilities: BPL cards to bonafide beneficiaries and widow’s pension, compensation to areca growers whose crop has perished owing to disease in the neighbourhood of Belle Gram Panchayat (GP), Moodubelle, near  here on Saturday November 16.   

 
 
The minister Sorake briefed on the various government schemes and the development programmes that can be availed by the residents living at the limits of Belle GP.  He instructed the officers concerned to take immediate measures for the housing the homeless.

 

 
Belle GP president Rajendra Shetty presided the programme.

 

 
ZP member Ida Gilbert D’Souza, TP member Devdas Hebbar, TP chief executive officer Manjunatayya, Udupi Tashildar Guruprasad, tax officer, village accountant, heads of various departments, Belle GP vice president Jacinta D’Souza, GP members, panchayat development officer Anand were present on the dais.

 
The programme was attended by hundreds of beneficiaries and locals.
