Hassan: Law Enforcement Agencies seize 53 trucks transporting Sand Illegally

Hassan, 16 Nov 2013: The law enforcement agencies led by Tahsildar Manjunat seized 53 trucks laden with sand without bonafide permits during a raid here on Friday November 15 morning.


 
The law enforcement agencies seized 43 sand trucks in Hassan division, and 10 trucks in Aloor, Sakleshpur and Channarayapattana.  The seized trucks were parked behind the city’s new bus stand and security men were posted at the location to avoid any clashes with the sand mafia.

 


Addressing the media persons, Tahsildar Manjunat said that 43 trucks that were illegally transporting sand were seized in Hassan division.  Meanwhile, the truck owners were pleading the officers to release their trucks.
