Udupi: Rotary Club aims at Societal Concern & fosters Healthy Friendship – Suryaprakash Bhat

Udupi, 22 Jul 2013: The one who seeks social reform, first of all he / she has to change himself / herself.  At this jet set age, the family values are degenerating,  Rotary Club International (RCI) has the chief objective of serving the society and its members will strive to follow the ideals of RCI by fostering friendship and societal concern, said RCI former district governor K Suryaprakash Bhat.

 

 

Bhat was speaking at the installation ceremony of RCI – Katpady, during the function held at Katpady Pre-University College auditorium, Sunday July 21.

 

Bhat installed Harish Rao Mattu and Alwyn Saldanha Bantakal as president and secretary of RCI – Katpady at the occasion.

 

The exiting president Jagdish Kamat presided the function.

 

The zonal commandant Jagannat Kote conveyed best wishes to the new office bearers.

 

The zonal assistant governor Madhav Suvarna released ‘Spandana’ RCI bulletin during the programme.  The scholarship was distributed to the talented students.

 

Jagdish Kamat welcomed the gathering. Secretary Srikara Anchan read the annual report.  Dr U K Shetty, Bharat Hegde, Appu Poojary, Sudhir Bangera, Santosh Shetty and Wilfred Lewis introduced the guests.  Appu Poojary and Sudhir D Bangera compered the programme.  Alwyn Saldanha proposed vote of thanks.
