Udupi: Motion set for Uroos at Katpady Darga

Udupi, 25 May 2013: The motion was set for Uroos, annual festivities at Asheikh Fakir Shah Valiyullahi Darga, located at Jumma masjid, Katpady, near here on Friday May 24.

The masjid honorary president Y M Hashim offered motion for Uroos, here after the prayers here on Friday May 24.

Speaking on the occasion, Katpady Khatib Al-Haj Mohammed Basheer Madani said that the contributions of Prophet and saints are immense in spreading Islam worldwide.  Islam propagates humanity and brotherhood, said Khatib Basheer.  He also urged the community to lead life as per the ideals of the Prophet and saints.

 

 

Moulana Shakeer Ahmed Haleemi delivered religious discourse in Urdu. Ishke Madina Shaduliya Burda Association – Khozhikode staged devotional music.

Katpady – Jumma masjid chairman Haji Nazeer Hussein presided the programme. Acchada madrasa teacher Abdul Hakim Sakhafi, Sarakarigudde Sadar Muallim Ibrahim Madani, Katpady madrasa Sadar Muallim Abdul Rashid Musliar, secretary Y M Ilyas, vice president Shahaban Hangloor and others were present at the occasion.
