Women’s Day celebrated at the Kundapur Varado level

Kundapur, 13 Mar 2013: The women organizations of all parishes in the Kundapur Varado spreading from Sasthan to Baindoor jointly celebrated women’s day at St. Mary’s Junior College Hall, Kundapur.

The programme started by reciting prayer by the members of Kundapur Stree Sanghattan. Mrs. Synthia D’Souza, president of the Varado level Stree Sanghattan welcomed the guests. Varado Director Fr. Vishal Lobo appreciated the good work done by the Stree Sanghattan members in various parishes.

 

 

Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, Dean of Kundapur Varado,  who presided over the programme said that everyone has come to this world through women and paid compliment to all women. Further he said that women have been rendering good service through their organization. He appreciated their interest in various cultural acitivities.

Fr. Edwin D’Souza,parish priest of Kolalgiri and Director of Young Catholic Students  of udupi Diocese participated in the programme as resource person. He organized some games for women and encouraged them to participate in various activities. Later, he gave a lecture on the topic “Youngsters and Family”.

The members of the Kundapur Stree Sanghattan presented dance and members from Sasthan presented hilarious skit. Mrs. Vinaya D’Costa, treasurer of the sanghattan was also on the dais.
