M’lore: Police nab thief, recover 8 copper pots

Mangalore, 10 Feb 2013: Mangalore City Police on Friday nabbed a habitual thief who took away copper pots installed in bathrooms of houses and solved seven cases of thefts of such pots registered in Mulki police station limits. Police named the accused as Vishwanath, 35, resident of place near Mulki government hospital quarters.

 

 

 

Police acted on a tip off that the accused was taking the stolen copper pots to sell them. The accused confessed to having stolen eight copper pots from houses in Karnad, Kilpady, Belyaru, Bappanadu villages. Value of the copper pots recovered from him is Rs 35,000.
