Car Driver Dies in Collision with Milestone at Arate Bridge on NH 66

Kundapur, 28 Jan 2013: A car driver died and other passengers wounded in a collision with a milestone located on a curve at Arate bridge, that comes under the limits of Mullikatte gram panchayat, near here on Sunday January 27 early morning.

 

 
The deceased has been identified as twenty-three-years-old Raghu.  The wounded has been identified as twenty-four-years-old Ranganat, twenty-two-years-old Pramod, twenty-three-years-old Shivakumar and twenty-two-years-old Mudduraj.  All of them were employees of a security agency in Kanakapur, Bangalore.

 
The car hit the milestone when the driver tried to avoid marauding truck coming from opposite direction.  The car driver died instantly.
