Veteran Congress worker Surloy E.A.D’Souza passes away

Moodbidri, 17 October 2012: Surloy E.A. D’Souza of Thakode , a veteran Congress worker, passed away at a private hospital in Mangalore on October 16, Tuesday following a brief illness. He was 83.

 

D’Souza had served as the Director of Karinje Seva Sahakari Bank and also as President of Marooru Private Irrigation Project.He had even served as Member of the Thakode Church Parish Board for several years. The Thakode Catholic Sabha had banged the Best unit Award when he was its President.

 

 

Late D’Souza had even  served as Member of Thakode Adarsha High School Construction Committee and  Member of Hosabettu Mandal Panchayat.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and four daughters. The funeral will be held at the Thakode Church  on October 19 at 10 am.
Several leaders including Rajya Sabha Member Oscar Fernandes, former union minister Janardhan Poojari, MLA Abhayachandra Jain, former minister Amarnath Shetty and District BJP Vice President KP Jagadish Adhikari have condoled the demise of  E.A. D’Souza.
