New registrars at Mangalore varsity

Mangalore, 28 Aug 2012: Palale Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya took charge as the Registrar (Administration) of Mangalore University on Monday following a Government Order.

 

He was earlier Registrar (Evaluation) of the university. Prior to this, being the Professor of Commerce Mr. Yadapadithaya held the additional responsibility of Finance Officer of the university for three-and-a-half years.

The three-year term of K. Chinnappa Gowda as Registrar (Administration) ended on August 24.

 

Mr. Gowda has now returned to his parent Kannada Department at the university as Professor in Kannada.

 

Mr. Yadapadithaya had obtained M.Com degree from Mangalore University in 1982 securing First Rank and a Gold Medal. He has guided 16 Ph.D. scholars.

B. Narayana, new Registrar (Evaluation)

 

B. Narayana, Head, Department of Chemistry at the university, took charge as Registrar (Evaluation) on Monday.

 

Mr. Narayana joined Mangalore University in 1984 as a PhD scholar in Chemistry under the guidance of M. R. Gajendragad, the then head of the department.

 

He was appointed as lecturer in Chemistry in 1988. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1990.
